Biography

Scott R. Millis, Ph.D., MEd is Professor with tenure in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Director of Research at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. Dr. Millis is a Chartered Statistician (CStat) with the British Royal Statistical Society and Chartered Scientist (CSci) with the British Science Council.

Dr. Millis served as the statistician for the Traumatic Brain Injury National Data Center (TBINDC). He is also the former Project Co-Director of the TBINDC. He also served on several data safety and monitoring committees. Prior to coming to WSU, Dr Millis was Director of the Office of Clinical Trials at Kessler Medical Rehabilitation Research and Education Corporation. Dr. Millis is also the former Chief of Neuropsychology at the DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, and Rehabilitation Psychology. His special interests are development and evaluation of statistical prediction models, Rasch analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and Bayesian model averaging.
