Biography

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor. I went to Wayne State University where I received a B.A in Economics. I attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine for my medical school training and completed my transitional year at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. I chose to come to RIM because I felt that it was a program that would allow me to build my clinical skills and reach my goals. This program allows residents to truly embraces diversity, inclusion, and compassion while maintaining a strong work ethic. The faculty and my co-residents at RIM make working so much fun, they all truly care for your growth as a physician and allow it to be seamless. Lastly, working in Detroit and being able to enjoy the community and everything the city has to offer has been one of the many highlights of this program. I will be starting an interventional pain management fellowship after residency.

Outside of medicine I enjoy watching and playing all sports, especially basketball and football! Huge Detroit sports fan, even though it's painful at times. I also love dancing, traveling, and trying new restaurants with friends!

Anuj Shah, D.O., has accepted a Pain Medicine Fellowship with Cornell University.
