Biography
I'm originally from Southeast Michigan, grew up in Commerce, MI. I received by undergraduate degree in Movement Science in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. After undergrad, I spent a few years in Philadelphia (Go Birds) working as a clinical neurophysiologist in Intraoperative Neuromonitoring when I decided to go back to medical school. I completed my medical school education at Wayne State University, my transitional year at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and elected to stay in Detroit for my residency in PM&R.
I chose RIM because of the diverse patient population and exposure to a large variety of pathology. Being familiar with RIM having gone to medical school in Detroit, I knew I was going to get a well-rounded education to prepare me for my career as a physiatrist. Additionally, I chose RIM because of the residents, we truly are like a small family! My goal is exploring a fellowship after residency, my current interests include Concussion and TBI, SCI, and Sports Medicine.
Outside of the hospital, I enjoy skiing, hiking, camping, running, golfing, Michigan football, Philly sports, and obsessing over my dog, Brooke.
