Biography

I grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan less than 30 minutes from RIM. I received my undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University. Following my undergraduate studies, I went to the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) where I earned a Master of Public Health degree in Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology with a certificate in hospital infection prevention. I then completed my education by attending medical school at Central Michigan University. Following medical school, I completed my intern year at Corewell Health-Butterworth in Grand Rapids before moving back home to southeast Michigan for my PM&R residency.

I chose RIM because of the great care they provide their patients (members of my own family having been under their care in the past) as well as the incredible learning opportunities for those of us that are training. My professional interests are wide ranging including spinal cord injury, sports medicine, and pain management.

Outside of the hospital you can find me at the Big House every Saturday home game in the fall (when my schedule allows). I also love weight training, golfing, all Detroit sports, and even playing the piano.
