Biography

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and was raised in Rochester, New York. I received a B.S. in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. I then attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. I completed my intern year of Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. I first became interested in PM&R as a result of being a personal trainer working with stroke and other debilitating medical conditions and then solidified my choice for rehab during medical school lectures/rotations.

I chose RIM because of the quality and strength of the program at a major academic center, diverse patient population, as well as a solid ultrasound curriculum. I could also tell the residents and faculty were very warm and welcoming on interview day. Other than an overall passion for general rehab, I have an interest in pain and sports medicine.

My interests outside the world of medicine include powerlifting, basketball, video games, movies, traveling/hiking, and food.
