Biography
I grew up in River Forest, IL, a west suburb of Chicago. I am a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) where I received a B.S. with Honors in the Arts and Sciences majoring in Chemistry. After scribing in the ER for two years in Columbus, OH, I attended Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my clinical training at St. John Hospital on 12 mile and Hoover in Warren, MI. I served as an OMM fellow, teaching osteopathic manual medicine and clinical skills prior to graduating. I completed my Transitional Year Residency at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. My earliest exposure to rehab medicine was volunteering at a summer camp for kids with disabilities. Through my osteopathic training, I found my passion for PM&R.
I am honored to train at RIM, a strong program with a rich legacy at a major academic center with a diverse patient population. The camaraderie at this program is strong and extends from faculty all throughout the residency and hospital. I am thrilled about our pediatric rehab experience with Children’s Hospital of Michigan and our robust team of pediatric physiatrists. My professional interests include pediatric rehabilitation, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, spasticity, and OMM.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy choral singing, theatre and performing arts, return trips to Cedar Point, and family visits on our farm in northwest Ohio.
