Dr. Turfe serves as both faculty for the PM&R Residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship.  He graduated from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine and later completed his residency in PM&R here at RIM where he served as Chief Resident.  This was followed by a Pain Medicine Fellowship with the DMC Anesthesiology Department. Dr. Turfe enjoys working alongside residents and fellows to correlate a comprehensive physical exam with diagnostic imaging to choose the most beneficial procedure.  He enjoys mentoring residents and fellows, and is always looking for interesting cases to submit to national conferences.  Outside of medicine he is an avid fan of Michigan football and all Detroit sports.  Dr. Turfe enjoys trying out new local restaurants and visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts where he favors exhibits from the Impressionism Era.
